captaincy of Bengaluru clash

A late captaincy decision will be made by the Lucknow Super Giants before their matchup with Bengaluru.

At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Lucknow Super Giants will next play the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The 15th match of the competition will see the Lucknow Super Giants play Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday, April 2, as they continue their IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 campaign.

The LSG support staff is considering if regular captain KL Rahul would be available for their match against RCB ahead of the game. It should be noted that Nicholas Pooran took over as captain for Rahul during the team’s most recent match versus Punjab Kings.

Due to LSG’s cautious approach following KL Rahul’s quadricep injury, which prevented him from playing in the final four Tests of the five-match series against England at home earlier this year, a decision will be taken.

It’s important to note that Rahul avoided taking wickets in the nets. He also worked on full-body exercises under Justin Langer, head coach. In addition, he hit in the nets and padded up. Rahul completed some more mobility drills after the hitting practice.

Having to switch up combinations is never easy: Pooran
Nicholas Pooran, the acting captain, took the mic to discuss how difficult it may be for the team to switch lineups. According to him, the more experienced players got together and assisted him in making judgements on the pitch.

“Changing combinations is never easy. Obviously, KL presents a unique challenge on the pitch. However, our veteran players united and helped me make decisions as well. It’s an actual occurrence. According to ESPNcricinfo, Pooran stated, “When your captain isn’t available, sometimes all the senior players stand up and try to make up for his absence.”

In the lead-up to their match against RCB, it would be intriguing to observe what part Rahul plays. With two points after two games, LSG is presently positioned in sixth place.
