MI vs. RR: The fan sprinting on the pitch frightens Rohit Sharma, and the video goes viral

Rajasthan Royals were given a goal of 126 runs by the Mumbai Indians to pursue.

On Monday, April 1, the 14th match of the IPL 2024 took place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai was restricted to an unsatisfactory first innings total of 125 runs as both teams took the stage in the contest.

In the second innings, a fan leaped security and went towards the Mumbai Indians players, drawing attention from the public as they came out to protect the objective. The seasoned batter was startled as the fan leaped near former captain Rohit Sharma.

The video was posted on X and has since gone viral on social media as MI attempts to avoid losing their third game of the 2024 IPL by defending their low score.

Mumbai Indians suffer their third IPL 2024 defeat. In terms of the game, the Mumbai Indians’ experience was forgettable. In the Wankhede Stadium, both teams squared up against one another. When Mumbai came to bat, they were at the mercy of Rajasthan’s bowling attack.

Mumbai scored a total of 125 runs in the first innings of the game, with Hardik Pandya leading the team in scoring with 34 runs. Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal each claimed three wickets, making them the Royals’ top wicket-takers. Nandre Burger scored two, and Avesh Khan also scored one.

With the intention of chasing the score, RR had a rough start as Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal were removed for 10 and 13 runs, respectively, in the opening innings. Sanju Samson, the captain, also scored 12 runs in 10 balls, while Riyan Parag, who amassed 54 runs without losing, helped his team win. The Royals won their third straight game and handed the Mumbai Indians their third defeat of the season by a margin of six wickets.
