the much-awaited RCB-LSG clash

Stuart Broad gets all fired up about the highly anticipated RCB-LSG match, saying, “I’m really excited about the battle between Virat Kohli versus Mayank Yadav.”

On Tuesday, April 2, the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Cricket fans should prepare for an exciting Tuesday, April 2, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between archrivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Gautam Gambhir was LSG’s mentor last year. At the Chinnaswamy, he silenced the RCB supporters following Lucknow’s dramatic victory on the last ball. The chances are excellent that fans of cricket will see another thrilling match on Tuesday.

Former England bowler Stuart Broad supported the Royal Challengers’ explosive Glenn Maxwell, skipper Faf du Plessis, and in-form Virat Kohli at the bat. Broad, though, thought that the RCB’s bowling was “naive” and recommended that someone with international pace expertise, such as Lockie Ferguson or Reece Topley, be added.

“I believe that when Virat Kohli is playing that well, you can practically count on him, Faf, and Maxwell to help you get a high score. However, their bowling lineup has just been a little immature and hasn’t produced the results that I’m sure the coaches would have desired. Thus, offer some real speed, some experience with Lockie Ferguson, and perhaps even a different angle from Reece Topley, who can also swing the ball,” Broad stated in an exclusive interview with Star Sports on Cricket Live.

Mayank Yadav, 21, made an impression in his first IPL match for Lucknow against Punjab Kings. The Punjab batsmen were rattled by the right-arm bowler, who delivered at unbelievable speeds and claimed three wickets in the middle overs. He ultimately claimed the Player of the Match title and finished with match-winning numbers of 3/27 in his four overs. Described as one of the finest batting surfaces in the world, Broad expressed his excitement at seeing the kid bowl to the famous Kohli and the other RCB batsmen.

Therefore, yes, those are their alternatives, but I’m most looking forward to Virat Kohli vs. Mayank Yadav. One of the most impressive IPL debuts you will ever witness—156 KM/h and three wickets—challenging and outpacing elite hitters with remarkable control of the line as it crosses the middle and leg stumps. Any 21-year-old bowler will undoubtedly find it difficult to go to the Chinnaswamy Stadium, one of the greatest batting grounds in the world, but that is where you do all of your learning—at the highest level, in these kinds of settings and atmospheres. He will thus be bursting with enthusiasm and energy following what transpired a few days earlier. So, I would really like to see him grab some wickets and score some more runs.
