The results of matches 20 and 21 during the IPL 2024 season have had a significant impact on the points standings.
The Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, were dissatisfied with their 33-run loss against the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday. The Titans suffered their third loss of the season as young Yash Thakur claimed the opening wicket of the IPL 2024 season.
Marcus Stoinis scored an important 58 runs off 43 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries. With 33 runs, KL Rahul was the ideal backup for the Australian as they combined for 73 runs at the third wicket. Ayush Badoni (20) and Nicholas Pooran (32) assisted LSG in reaching 163 on the board.
The Gujarat Titans had an incredible start, but their momentum slipped as they lost five wickets for just 26 runs. Rahul Tewatia, 30, and Sai Sudharsan, 31, attempted to engage in combat, but Yash Thakur had other ideas. The 25-year-old helped LSG win their third game out of four in the IPL 2024 season by bowling well and taking wickets at critical times.
