Shikhar Dhawan’s injury status was disclosed by PBKS’s spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi prior to the game against MI.
Sunil Joshi, the PBKS spin bowling coach, discussed Shikhar Dhawan’s injury during the news conference held prior to the match against MI. Joshi stated that the star batter’s rehabilitation is being worked on by the medical staff, and they would notify the management if there are any advancements.
The former Indian cricket player supported Sam Curran, the team’s temporary captain, in his efforts to lead them. Joshi said that Curran filled in admirably for the veteran player throughout the previous campaign.
“The medical staff will evaluate Shikhar Dhawan’s condition and let us know when they get more information. He is currently in recovery,” Joshi stated, as cited by India Today.

Joshi believes that because the surface is difficult for batsmen, especially visitors, the home team has the upper hand. He said in closing that the distinct bounce might work to PBKS’s favour. But because the bounce on this wicket is so distinct from any other surface, it presents a challenge to all batsmen, particularly the visitors.
