DC squad for IPL 2024

Three players who can replace Mitchell Marsh in DC squad for IPL 2024

These three players are the favourites to replace Mitchell Marsh for the remainder of the 2024 Indian Premier League for the Delhi Capitals.

The Delhi Capitals suffered a severe hit before to their next matchup with the Gujarat Titans. Due to a hamstring injury, Mitchell Marsh is not expected to play out the remainder of the 2024 Indian Premier League, according to Ricky Ponting.

In what is already another terrible season, this puts a massive void in the Delhi Capitals lineup. Rishabh Pant needs a couple victories to keep the team’s prospects of qualifying alive. The Delhi squad is struggling this season, earning only three victories thus far.

There are a few players who can step in and carry out the task for Delhi, even if a replacement’s name has not yet been revealed. The Delhi Capitals should ideally target one more hitter to add some consistency to the lineup.

These three players for the Delhi Capitals are potential replacements for Mitchell Marsh.

Holder Jason

Mitchell Marsh may not need to be replaced since the West Indian all-rounder bowls brilliantly with the new ball, especially in the closing overs. Jason Holder can use the long handle and bat effectively as well. Jason Holder’s ability to bat in the middle order and adjust his batting tempo depending on the occasion is one of his greatest assets.

Van der Dussen Rassie

The South African hasn’t had much of an influence on the IPL despite playing a few games. With his big-hitting skill, Rassie Van Der Dussen is one of the most underappreciated white ball players. The experienced hitter can use his feet to good effect against spinners and packs a punch against fast bowlers.

Rickelton Ryan

It’s possible to describe this manoeuvre as coming completely out of the blue. During the SA20 this year, Ryan Rickelton has proven to be one of the top emerging prospects. Because of the striking similarity, many have immediately likened his shot-making to that of Quinton De Kock. With either Prithvi Shaw or Jake Fraser-McGurk at the top of the order, the Delhi Capitals can get off to fast starts in the powerplay overs.
