There have been highs and lows during Warner’s rollercoaster trip in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Warner joined SRH in 2014 following a fruitful tenure with the Delhi Capitals from 2009 to 2013, when he established himself as a key member of the squad until 2021. Warner’s tenure with the team ended abruptly, despite his outstanding on-field performances and leadership of SRH to victory in the 2016 IPL.
The Australian cricket player had a difficult season in 2021, losing a lot of games and getting dropped from the captaincy midway through. He then discovered that the franchise had marginalised him and even blocked him on social media. As he assumed the role of a spectator and even brought refreshments for his squad during games, Warner’s dissatisfaction was evident.
After the experience, Warner expressed his confusion over the treatment he received from the team’s management. He underlined the value of fan interaction, seeing it as an essential component of his bond with his followers. In spite of the inexplicable choice to ban him from social media, Warner is appreciative of his supporters’ steadfast support.
“It did hurt because supporters felt as though they were being hurt. The most significant relationship you may have is with your fans. On Ravi Ashwin’s YouTube channel, Warner stated, “I had a really fantastic relationship with the fans and the team.

“I’m not sure why my account got banned. However, I did interact with a lot of SRH supporters on social media. I did believe it was my responsibility to interact with the supporters and ensure their continued attendance. That is the most crucial factor. However, from a blocking perspective, I’m not sure. It has been in my possession for almost five years. It was strange. Ultimately, I still have followers who visit my page and engage in conversation with everyone. So it’s fantastic,” he said.
Delhi Capitals purchased Warner in 2022.
Warner’s outstanding record of 4,014 runs in 95 matches helped SRH establish his place in IPL history. But when he was signed by the Delhi Capitals in 2022, everything changed for him.

Warner has performed admirably for DC, scoring two hundreds and 22 fifties, although he has not yet won an IPL championship with his current team.
