Bangladesh will host the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, and on October 6 in Sylhet, India will play Pakistan. Two groups of five players each are formed from the teams. South Africa, England, the West Indies, Bangladesh, and QF2 are in Group B, while Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and QF1 are in Group A.
On October 3, England will play South Africa in the afternoon encounter, which begins at 3:00 PM local time in Dhaka. The hosts, Bangladesh, will play in the evening game at the same location, which starts at 19:00. They are going to play the runners-up in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers that are going on right now in Abu Dhabi.
The winner of the Qualifiers will face Australia, the reigning champions who have won the competition a record six times, in the afternoon on October 4. Meanwhile, India’s opening match of the competition will take place against New Zealand in the evening on the same day at the same venue.
Ten teams in total will compete in the event; two teams will be selected through the Qualifiers; there will be a total of 23 matches played. The semifinals will feature the two teams that place highest in each group.
Scotland and Sri Lanka will play each other in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier final on Tuesday, May 7. Both teams have qualified for the event.
The first semifinal is scheduled for October 17 in Sylhet, while the semifinal and final are scheduled for October 18 and October 20, respectively, in Dhaka. Reserve days will be available for the semifinals and final.
The BKSP pitch will host all practice matches during the official warm-up matches, which are scheduled to take place between September 27 and October 1.
