RR vs MI Match 38 Highlights

IPL 2024: Highlights from Match 38 between RR and MI: Must-watch video review, pivotal moments, match analysis, statistics, and more

In match 38 of the IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royal easily defeated Mumbai Indians.

The 38th IPL 2024 match took place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur between the Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai won the toss and decided to bat first, captained by Hardik Pandya. Mumbai had a difficult start, losing three wickets in four overs for a total of just 20 runs.

But Tilak Varma and Mohammad Nabi’s combination momentarily stabilised their innings. Nehal Wadhera joined Tilak despite Nabi’s removal, and the two of them attacked Rajasthan’s bowlers with great intensity, helping Mumbai to a score of 179 in 20 overs. Tilak amassed 65 points, Nehal added 49, while Rajasthan’s Sandeep Sharma stole five wickets.

In response, Rajasthan had a great start thanks to a potent opening combination of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. After Buttler left the game with 35 runs, skipper Sanju Samson teamed up with Jaiswal, and the two of them shut down Mumbai’s bowling attack. With nine wickets and eight balls remaining, Rajasthan easily reached the goal, thanks to Jaiswal’s undefeated century (104) and Sanju’s 38 off 28 balls.

Let’s examine some of the game’s highlights:

I saw Tilak Varma present his class.

Tilak Varma, with his elegant left-handed batting, had a superb performance, hitting 65 off 45 balls, when the Mumbai Indians were suffering at 20 for three. Mumbai was able to steadily accumulate runs and reach a competitive total thanks to his innings.

The five wicket haul from Sandeep Sharma

Sandeep Sharma, who had been benched earlier because of fitness issues, made an incredible comeback in this game. His outstanding bowling display claimed five wickets, upsetting the Mumbai Indians’ batting order. Sharma kept Mumbai from establishing a daunting goal by first taking two wickets and then taking three more in the last overs, which limited the task for the RR batsmen.

Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved an incredible century.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had struggled with form earlier in the season, silenced his critics with an outstanding century to mark a remarkable comeback. With nine fours and seven sixes in his brilliant innings of 104 runs off 60 balls, he helped Rajasthan win the tournament again.

Here’s how ‘X’ responded to the spectacular win by the Rajasthan Royals over the Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians a solid team but managed poorly on the field.
