IPL 2024: KL In the Lucknow match, Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad were punished for their sluggish overrate.

The game was won by LSG by eight wickets.

At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, during Match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 versus Chennai Super Kings, Mr. KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, was fined for his team’s sluggish over-rate.

Rahul was fined INR 12 Lac since it was his team’s first offense of the season in relation to minimum over-rate offenses under the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

Gaikwad was fined INR 12 Lac since it was his team’s first offense of the season in relation to minimum over-rate offenses under the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

Speaking about the LSG vs. CSK game, at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, the visitors lost the toss and were had to bat first. CSK started the game slowly and continued to lose wickets often. CSK scored 176 runs after Ravindra Jadeja’s 57* off 40 and MS Dhoni’s incredible 28 off 9 came back to haunt them.

But Quinton de Kock and LSG captain KL Rahul’s first exchange was sufficient to win the game for them. With six balls remaining, Rahul scored 82 off 53 and De Kock added 54 off 43 to help LSG win the match by eight wickets. Player of the match went to KL Rahul, who deservedly so since he changed the tide of the battle in his team’s advantage from the start. For LSG, Krunal Pandya claimed two wickets at a 5.33 average. Yash Thakur, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, and Marcus Stoinins had all won one apiece.
