In Ahmedabad, DC defeated GT by six wickets with 11.1 overs remaining.
The Indian Premier League 2024 match between the Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans took place on Wednesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. DC elected to bowl first as per custom after winning the toss. Shubman Gill was removed by Ishan Sharma in the second over after GT delivered an early blow. Wriddiman Saha quickly did the same. Sai Sudharsan was starting to settle into a groove when Sumit Kumar’s spectacular runout ended his innings.
Walking back for two off six, David Miller, who was making his comeback, was unable to steer GT’s boat. Rahul Tewatia and Abhinav Manohar sank into a black hole that GT’s bowlers produced. Touted as an impact player, Shahrukh Khan was removed from the game after being stumped by Rishabh Pant. Rashid Khan scored 31 off 24 with a logical knock. DC’s bowlers wasted little time in inflicting damage, as GT lost every wicket and managed a pitiful 89 runs on the board.
