In IPL history, Kolkata Knight Riders scored the second-highest.
There was pure mayhem in Visakhapatnam as the batsmen for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) put on a merciless batting exhibition against Delhi Capitals (DC) to record the second-highest total in the history of the league. With Sunil Narine leading the way, the other hitters carried on the trend, mercilessly dismissing the DC bowlers.
Andre Russell was elevated by KKR to bat ahead of position after the top-order put up a fantastic framework, and the all-round player did not let the team down in the slightest. Russell spearheaded an attack on DC bowlers on a Vizag batting deck, continuing the barrage initiated by Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Narine.

Russell used all of his physical power to slam four boundaries and three enormous sixes, scoring 41 off of only 19. With six balls left, KKR needed just 14 runs to surpass Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record-breaking 277, the best team total in IPL history, set just days prior.
It was achievable with the offensive batsman at the crease and in form, but Ishant Sharma’s toe-crushing yorker defied all expectations. With his very first ball, the seasoned Indian pacer sent Russell scurrying. The stumps had been removed by the time the huge guy could lower his bat, and the batter landed awkwardly on the ground. Inspired by the deadly bowling, Russell himself praised the veteran bowler, resulting in a gentlemanly exchange between the two.
