The holders MI New York and the runners-up Seattle Orcas from the previous season will square off on July 5 at Morrisville to kick off the 2024 USA Major League Cricket season, it was announced on Tuesday (May 7). The competition’s second season, which runs until July 28th, will once again include six teams and a total of 25 games.
A second game, pitting the Texas Super Kings against the LA Knight Riders, will take place at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on the first day of action. All four playoff games, including the championship game, will be held in Dallas. The tournament will be contested over the course of two locations. By the way, The Hundred, which is set to kick off at The Oval in London on July 23, will take place simultaneously with the MLC playoffs.
The second season will see teams play two more matches each before the top four teams advance to the playoffs, in contrast to the first season where each team played five group-stage games.
