With the aid of one four and five sixes, Nicholas Pooran amassed an undefeated forty from twenty-one balls.

In the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a strong performance at the bat, posting a huge total of 181/5 after batting first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Quinton de Kock, a wicketkeeper-battler, led his team in scoring with a fantastic 81(56) thanks to eight fours and five sixes during his innings.

Nicholas Pooran, who hit one four and five sixes, three of which came against Reece Topley in the 19th over, helped him score an undefeated 40* off just 21 balls. But his third maximum, which went an incredible 106 metres, caught everyone’s attention. The event happened when the West Indies batsman pulled a short delivery from Topley onto the top of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on the fourth ball of the 19th over.

Following his avalanche against Topley, Pooran went on to destroy Mohammed Siraj in the last over, hitting him for two consecutive sixes. Because of Pooran’s batting, LSG was able to push their total above 180 by scoring 33 runs in the final two overs.

De Kock and KL Rahul (20 off 14) had earlier given their side a fantastic start by scoring 53 runs off 33 balls for the first wicket. After Rahul was dismissed, his opening partner carried on with his chaos and engaged Marcus Stoinis (24 off 15) in yet another vital stand of 56 (30).
