Sunil Gavaskar says bluntly, “That is called Karma,” following the contentious ruling that goes against the Rajasthan Royals.

Pathan remarked, “Terrible decision from their umpire again.”

On Thursday, May 2, during the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Rajasthan Royals game, a contentious call was made. When Travis Head was on strike in the 15th over of the SRH innings, the incident happened. As Head attempted to drive a more complete delivery from Avesh Khan, the ball sailed well beyond the off stump. Catching Head before he reached his crease, Sanju Samson retrieved the ball and hurled it back at the stumps.

The SRH batter’s bat was in the air when the ball struck the stumps, according to the replay. The batsman was not out, according to Rohan Pandit, the third umpire. The fourth umpire and Kumar Sangakkara were seen fighting over this judgment, which infuriated the RR dugout. However, RR rallied in the next ball as Avesh produced a similar delivery and removed Head. Head shuffled across in an attempt to play the ball down the leg side, only to guide it into the stumps.

“Their umpire once again made a terrible decision. Two more frames were presented. Irfan Pathan stated on TV, “Head’s bat was in the air.”

We refer to that as Karma. Karma hits,” Sunil Gavaskar remarked in a commentary shortly after Head was fired.

In the final ball drama, SRH defeats RR to win the match.

SRH had a difficult start after winning the toss, losing the wickets of Anmolpreet Singh and Abhishek Sharma in the Powerplay. But Head and Nitish Reddy’s combined 96 runs off 57 deliveries enabled SRH to overcome the early deficit. Heinrich Klaasen finished with a fast inning of 42 runs off of 19 balls, helping the club reach a respectable 201 for 3.

In the second innings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets in the opening over as RR batsmen Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson went early. But Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag combined for 133 runs to keep RR in the match. However, the bowlers for SRH rallied well and quickly removed several RR wickets to regain pressure. The game was ultimately decided on the final ball, where SRH was able to steal the victory, making the match come down to the wire.
