Thirimanne was admitted to the hospital following a car collision with “minor injuries.”

Lahiru Thirimanne, a former cricket player for Sri Lanka, was hospitalized following a traffic accident in Thrippane, Anuradapura, the local police confirmed to Ada Derana.

Police said that the cricket player, 34, had “minor injuries sustained in the accident” when he was brought to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

According to the police, Thirimanne was traveling with three other people in the car when it collided with a lorry approaching from the other direction on Thursday morning at around 07:45. We anticipate more information.
