We have seen athletes from all over the world put on merciless batting performances over the years, and fans even yearn for such activity. Some bowlers, meanwhile, are able to take center stage because to their terrifying bowling strokes. They prove that it’s not just a lovely sight to see the ball go into the stands, but also a magnificent sound to hear it rattle the stumps, as they bother the batsmen with pace, swing, accuracy, and spin magic.

Many fast bowlers have shown off their frightening bowling action and tremendous velocity in the IPL. Over the course of the tournament’s 17-year history, a few of them have succeeded in exceeding the 150 kmph barrier multiple times. Shaun Tait, a former speedster for the Rajasthan Royals, holds the record for the fastest delivery in the IPL at a speed of 157.7 kmph.

This enormous accomplishment was made by the Australian in 2011, and nobody has since broken it. Nonetheless, in past seasons, bowlers such as Lockie Ferguson and Umran Malik have nearly achieved this feat. Mayank Yadav, a recent addition to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) roster, is a new pace phenomenon. With a speed of 156.7 kmph during the match versus RCB, the uncapped Indian player presently owns the record for the fourth fastest delivery.

  1. Nortje Anrich (2)

In the history of the league, only five bowlers have broken the 155 kmph mark, Anrich Nortje doing it twice. In the IPL since 2012, Nortje’s delivery against the Rajasthan Royals, which clocked in at 156.2 kmph, set a new record.
