On both teams, there were a total of five changes to the starting lineup.
At Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off in Match 18 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). Both sides will be motivated to win in the next game because they entered it having lost their respective previous games.
On the fantastic Hyderabad track, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and requested CSK to bat first. Both clubs altered their starting lineup many times as a result of injuries or the unavailability of key players. Mayank Agarwal, the SRH starter, was benched due to illness, and Nitish Reddy took his place.

Agarwal has only scored 59 runs in three matches this season, so he wasn’t in the greatest of form. Left-arm seamer T. Natarajan, who will play in his maiden game of the season, was also called back by SRH. However, CSK was had to alter their starting lineup three times. Mustafizur Rahman, a left-arm seamer, is not available for the match since he is in Bangladesh obtaining a US visa in preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Mukesh Choudhary, Theeskshana, and Moeen Ali are brought in by CSK
Rahman’s seven wickets from three innings at an economy of 8.83 and an average of 15.14 make him the joint greatest wicket-taker of the season thus far. In addition to him, speedster Matheesha Pathirana was also sidelined by a niggle during the match.
In the most recent match against DC, the Sri Lankan seamer was the most effective bowler, taking three wickets in four overs while only allowing 31 runs to be scored. With the addition of spinner Maheesh Theekshana, all-rounder Moeen Ali, and left-arm seamer Mukesh Choudhary, CSK made three changes in all.
